Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 ml) cooked shrimp, chopped (about 140g)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) lump crab meat (about 140g)
  • 4 oz (113 g) cream cheese, softened (about 115g)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) mayonnaise (about 60 ml)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) sour cream (about 60 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) lemon juice (about 15 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Worcestershire sauce (about 5 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Old Bay seasoning (about 2g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) garlic powder (about 1g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) onion powder (about 1g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) paprika (about 1g)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 cup (480 ml) s shredded cheddar cheese (about 200g)
  • 1 pound (454 g) store-bought pretzel dough (about 450g)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chopped shrimp and lump crab meat.
  3. Add the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream to the bowl.
  4. Mix in the lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Sprinkle in the Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until well combined.
  8. Roll out the pretzel dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  9. Cut the dough into small, bite-sized pieces.
  10. Place a spoonful of the seafood mixture onto each piece of dough.
  11. Fold the dough over the filling, pinching edges to seal.
  12. Place the filled pretzel bites onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  13. Brush each pretzel bite with the beaten egg for an egg wash.
  14. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  15. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
