Ingredients

  • 1 pound (454 g) (450 grams) shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup (240 ml) (150 grams) lump crab meat
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (14 grams) unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams) lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s (30 milliliters) lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) (60 milliliters) mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) (25 grams) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams) Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) (1.25 grams) black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 grams) chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 can (16.3 ounce (462 g) s or 461 grams) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 milliliters) water (for egg wash)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Chop the shrimp into small pieces.
  3. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the chopped shrimp and cook until opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute.
  6. Remove the skillet from heat and let the shrimp mixture cool slightly.
  7. In a bowl, combine the lump crab meat, cooked shrimp, lemon zest, lemon juice, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, Old Bay seasoning, salt, black pepper, and parsley.
  8. Mix the ingredients until well combined.
  9. Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough and separate the biscuits.
  10. Flatten each biscuit into a 4-inch (10 cm) circle.
  11. Spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of the seafood mixture onto the center of each biscuit.
  12. Fold the edges of the biscuit over the filling and pinch to seal.
  13. Place the sealed biscuits seam-side down on a baking sheet.
  14. In a small bowl, whisk together the beaten egg and water to make an egg wash.
  15. Brush the tops of each biscuit with the egg wash.
  16. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  17. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
