Ingredients

  • Butter – 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s (28 grams)
  • Garlic cloves, minced – 3 cloves
  • Heavy cream – 1 cup (240 ml) (240 milliliters)
  • Grated cheddar cheese – 1 cup (240 ml) (100 grams)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese – 1/2 cup (120 ml) (50 grams)
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml)
  • Black pepper – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml)
  • All-purpose flour – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (8 grams)
  • Waffle cones – 6 cones
  • Chopped fresh parsley – 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s (8 grams)


Instructions

  1. Rinse and pat dry the shrimp.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, sprinkle the flour and stir to combine with the remaining butter and garlic.
  7. Slowly pour in the heavy cream, whisking continuously until smooth.
  8. Bring the cream mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  9. Gradually add the cheddar and Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted.
  10. Season the sauce with salt and black pepper.
  11. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and stir to coat with the sauce.
  12. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in chopped parsley.
