Description

A comforting dish of fettuccine pasta combined with tender shrimp and a rich, creamy garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Pour the heavy cream into the same skillet and bring it to a simmer. Stir in the grated parmesan cheese until it melts and becomes a smooth sauce.
  5. Return the cooked fettuccine and shrimp to the skillet. Toss everything to coat the pasta and shrimp in the creamy sauce. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For best results, use freshly grated parmesan cheese. Avoid overcooking the shrimp to maintain a tender texture.
