Description
A comforting dish of fettuccine pasta combined with tender shrimp and a rich, creamy garlic sauce.
Ingredients
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- Pour the heavy cream into the same skillet and bring it to a simmer. Stir in the grated parmesan cheese until it melts and becomes a smooth sauce.
- Return the cooked fettuccine and shrimp to the skillet. Toss everything to coat the pasta and shrimp in the creamy sauce. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For best results, use freshly grated parmesan cheese. Avoid overcooking the shrimp to maintain a tender texture.
