Description

A simple yet indulgent dish featuring seared Ahi tuna steaks marinated in a flavorful blend of soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and honey.

Ingredients

  • 2 sushi-grade Ahi tuna steaks (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 green onion, sliced

Instructions

  1. Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and honey in a bowl.
  2. Coat the tuna steaks with the marinade and let them sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over high heat.
  4. Sear the tuna for 1-2 minutes per side for rare, or longer for your desired doneness.

Notes

Use a hot skillet for best results. Let the tuna rest for a minute after cooking to retain juices.
