Description

A delightful seafood stew featuring clams, mussels, shrimp, and white fish, perfect for sharing with friends or enjoying on a cozy night in.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb clams, cleaned
  • 1 lb mussels, cleaned
  • 1 lb white fish (e.g., cod or halibut), cubed
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 4 cups seafood stock or broth
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • Crusty garlic bread, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until translucent.
  2. Stir in the diced tomatoes and seafood stock, bringing to a simmer.
  3. Add red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the clams and mussels, cover the pot, and cook for about 5 minutes until they start to open.
  5. Add the white fish and shrimp, cooking for another 5-7 minutes until the seafood is cooked through.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and alongside crusty garlic bread.

Notes

For best results, always choose the freshest seafood and monitor cooking times closely to avoid overcooking.
