Description
A delightful blend of shrimp, Manila clams, and scallops in a rich tomato sauce, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 10 oz. (350g) spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 oz. (125g) shrimp, shelled and deveined
- 8 oz. (230g) Manila clams
- 4 oz. (125g) scallops
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 8 oz. (228g) whole peeled tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon chopped Italian basil leaves
- Salt, to taste
- 1 teaspoon sugar (or brown sugar)
- Chopped Italian parsley, for garnishing
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
- Blend the can of whole peeled tomatoes in a food processor or blender until smooth. Set the sauce aside.
- Heat a skillet on medium heat. Add the olive oil and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp, Manila clams, and scallops to the skillet. Stir to combine.
- Pour in the prepared tomato sauce and add the chopped basil leaves.
- Cook the seafood mixture until almost done, then season with salt and sugar.
- Transfer the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and stir to combine everything.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, ensure seafood is fresh and properly cleaned. Consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
