Description

A creamy and cheesy seafood gratin featuring shrimp and scallops, perfect for gatherings or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

  • 200 g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 200 g scallops, fresh or thawed if frozen
  • 2 tablespoons butter for sautéing
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 200 ml heavy cream
  • 50 ml white grape juice
  • 50 g grated cheese (your favorite kind)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing for 3-4 minutes until translucent and aromatic.
  3. Add the shrimp and scallops, cooking for about 3 minutes until shrimp are pink and scallops are opaque.
  4. Pour in the white grape juice and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, salt, and black pepper, mixing well.
  6. Transfer to a baking dish and sprinkle grated cheese generously over the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 15 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider incorporating fresh herbs or trying different cheese types for the topping.
