A creamy and cheesy seafood gratin featuring shrimp and scallops, perfect for gatherings or cozy dinners.
Ingredients
- 200 g shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 200 g scallops, fresh or thawed if frozen
- 2 tablespoons butter for sautéing
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 50 ml white grape juice
- 50 g grated cheese (your favorite kind)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing for 3-4 minutes until translucent and aromatic.
- Add the shrimp and scallops, cooking for about 3 minutes until shrimp are pink and scallops are opaque.
- Pour in the white grape juice and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream, salt, and black pepper, mixing well.
- Transfer to a baking dish and sprinkle grated cheese generously over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 15 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
