Description

A classic seafood dish featuring tender baked scallops topped with a crunchy panko and Parmesan mixture, finished with fresh herbs.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh sea scallops
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and grease a baking dish.
  2. Rinse and pat dry scallops. Arrange them in the dish.
  3. Mix melted butter, olive oil, panko, Parmesan, parsley, thyme, garlic, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
  4. Spoon the mixture over the scallops evenly.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until scallops are opaque and the topping is golden brown.
  6. Broil for 2–3 minutes for an additional crisp finish.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
