Description

A decadent yet simple recipe for baked halibut topped with garlic and Parmesan cheese, perfect for impressing family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Butter (softened)
  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
  • 2 tbsp Green onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (crushed)
  • 1 dash Tabasco, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 pieces Halibut fillets (1 inch thick)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the softened butter and mayonnaise in a mixing bowl. Mix well to create a smooth base.
  3. Add the freshly grated Parmesan cheese, chopped green onion, crushed garlic, Tabasco, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is well incorporated.
  4. Place the halibut fillets in the prepared baking dish. Spread the garlic Parmesan mixture generously over each fillet.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and the topping is golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

Let the fish sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes before cooking for even results. Consider adding breadcrumbs for extra crunch on top of the mixture.
