Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons (8g) fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter to the skillet and let it melt.
  4. Add 4 cloves of minced garlic to the skillet.
  5. Sauté the garlic for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Add 1 pound of shrimp to the skillet in a single layer.
  7. Season the shrimp with salt and black pepper to taste.
  8. Cook the shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes on one side until pink.
  9. Flip the shrimp and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.
  10. Add the juice and zest of 1 lemon to the skillet.
  11. Stir in 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley.
  12. Cook for an additional 1 minute to combine flavors.
  13. Remove from heat and transfer the shrimp to a serving dish.
  14. Serve immediately while hot.
