Ingredients
- 1 pound (450g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons (8g) fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet.
- Add 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter to the skillet and let it melt.
- Add 4 cloves of minced garlic to the skillet.
- Sauté the garlic for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add 1 pound of shrimp to the skillet in a single layer.
- Season the shrimp with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Cook the shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes on one side until pink.
- Flip the shrimp and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add the juice and zest of 1 lemon to the skillet.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley.
- Cook for an additional 1 minute to combine flavors.
- Remove from heat and transfer the shrimp to a serving dish.
- Serve immediately while hot.
