Description

A creamy and zesty sauce that transforms fish tacos into a flavorful experience with a hint of spice.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup sour cream (or mayonnaise)
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup packed fresh cilantro (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic or garlic paste
  • 12 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce (start with ½ for mild, add more for heat)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • ⅛ teaspoon kosher salt
  • Optional:
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Begin by adding all ingredients into a bowl.
  2. Use the immersion blender, food processor, or regular blender to puree until smooth.
  3. Once blended, taste the mixture, adjusting seasoning or heat as necessary.
  4. If you prefer a little more spice, add an extra chipotle pepper.
  5. After perfecting the flavor, chill the sauce for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Finally, stir well and drizzle generously over tacos.
