Description

Delightful salmon tacos with perfectly seasoned salmon, fresh toppings, and a burst of vibrant flavors.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup pico de gallo

Instructions

  1. Season the salmon with olive oil, chili powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook salmon skin-side down until skin crisps, then flip and cook until salmon is flaky.
  3. Warm corn tortillas in a skillet or over low flame until pliable and lightly charred. Keep wrapped in a towel to stay warm.
  4. Prepare toppings: slice avocado, shred cabbage, and mix pico de gallo ingredients (diced tomatoes, onion, cilantro, lime juice).
  5. Assemble tacos with cooked salmon, cabbage, avocado, pico de gallo, and a drizzle of sour cream or Greek yogurt. Garnish with cilantro.

Notes

Let salmon rest after cooking for optimal juiciness. Consider marinating the salmon longer for enhanced flavor. Serve with lime wedges for extra zest.
