Description
A simple yet flavorful salmon dish featuring garlic, butter, and lemon that brings a taste of the coast to your kitchen.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (180-200 grams each), skin on or off
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika (optional)
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
- Zest from 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season generously with salt, black pepper, and optionally, paprika.
- Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets in the pan, skin side down if left on.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden, then flip and cook an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) or move salmon to a baking dish. Bake for 10-12 minutes until juicy and flakes easily with a fork.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and sauté for a couple of minutes without browning.
- Stir in lemon juice and zest, simmer for 2-3 minutes, and season to taste.
- Remove salmon from oven, spoon garlic lemon butter sauce over each fillet, and optionally sprinkle with parsley. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use fresh salmon for the best flavor. Adjust seasoning and add herbs for variations.
