Ingredients
- 6-8 oz. sushi-grade raw salmon, sliced
- 1 small shallot, minced finely
- 2 tbsp high quality extra virgin olive oil
- ½ lemon, juiced (about 2 tbsp)
- ½ lime, juiced (about 2 tbsp)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
Instructions
- Minced shallot finely to enhance flavor balance.
- Juice half a lemon and half a lime into a bowl.
- If necessary, slice the salmon against the grain into 1/4 inch thick pieces using a sharp knife.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the minced shallot, citrus juices, and soy sauce, whisking together until well mixed.
- Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil on a serving plate and arrange the salmon slices on top.
- Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the salmon.
- Pour the citrus dressing around the salmon without drowning it.
- Optionally garnish with thinly sliced scallions, chives, or micro-greens, and a sprinkle of flaky salt. Serve chilled.
