Description

A comforting and indulgent salmon chowder soup filled with tender salmon, creamy broth, and hearty potatoes, perfect for cozy evenings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups salmon, diced
  • 2 cups potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups fish or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until they are soft.
  2. Add the diced potatoes and fish broth, bringing to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Stir in the diced salmon and heavy cream, cooking for an additional 5-7 minutes until the salmon is cooked through.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For a lighter alternative, consider using a combination of milk and cream. Garnish with lemon juice for added freshness.
