Ingredients

  • Chilean sea bass fillets
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Fresh lemon juice
  • Garlic, minced
  • Butter
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or thyme)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the Chilean sea bass fillets with salt and black pepper.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the fish for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Remove from oven, drizzle with lemon juice and melted butter.
  8. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Pat the fillets dry before seasoning for better sear. Use a metal or cast-iron skillet for optimal results.
