Description
A delightful twist on salmon with a sweet and savory glaze made from maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and garlic.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (total 1 lb)
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
Instructions
- Combine the maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic in a bowl to create the glaze.
- Place the salmon fillets in a baking dish or directly into a hot skillet.
- Pour the glaze over the salmon, ensuring each piece is well coated.
- If baking, bake for about 15-20 minutes or until cooked through; if searing, cook for 5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes, basting with remaining glaze.
- Remove from heat and let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For richer flavor, marinate the salmon in the glaze for 30 minutes before cooking. Experiment with different mustards or add sesame seeds for garnish.
