Description

A delightful and easy recipe for grilled shrimp marinated in honey, garlic, and spices, perfect for summer gatherings or quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp garlic (freshly minced)
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/2 tsp lime zest
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined with tails left on)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp cilantro (finely chopped)
  • 1 lemon (for serving)
  • 2 limes (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Combine olive oil, honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, lemon zest, lime zest, and paprika in a bowl.
  2. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl and stir well to coat. Let the shrimp marinate for 20-30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Skewer the marinated shrimp onto skewers, leaving a little space between each shrimp.
  5. Grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  6. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small pan. Once the shrimp are grilled, pour the melted butter over them.
  7. Serve with freshly squeezed lemon and lime juice, garnished with cilantro.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh ingredients and monitor cooking time closely to avoid overcooking the shrimp.
