Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough (450 g)
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree (240 ml)
  • 8 ounces beef, peeled and deveined (225 g)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (30 ml)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (115 g)
  • 1/2 cup grated plant-based Parmesan cheese (50 g)
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  4. In a small bowl, mix pumpkin puree, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Spread the pumpkin mixture evenly over the pizza dough.
  6. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  7. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  8. Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside.
  9. In the same pan, add remaining olive oil and minced garlic.
  10. Sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  11. Spread sautéed garlic evenly over the pumpkin layer on the pizza.
  12. Arrange cooked shrimp evenly over the pizza crust.
  13. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the shrimp and pumpkin layer.
  14. Sprinkle dried oregano evenly over the top.
  15. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  16. Remove pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  17. Garnish with fresh parsley before slicing and serving.
