Description

A simple and delicious dish featuring flaky white fish fillets topped with a crunchy Parmesan cheese and breadcrumb crust.

Ingredients

  • 4 white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, or haddock)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, stirring well.
  3. In another small bowl, mix the melted butter (or olive oil) with the lemon juice until fully combined.
  4. Dip each fish fillet into the butter mixture, ensuring it’s well-coated. Then, roll the fillet in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to help it adhere.
  5. Place the coated fillets on the greased baking sheet.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the fish is cooked through and the top is golden brown.
  7. If desired, garnish the baked fish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider including herbs like thyme or dill in the breadcrumb mixture. Use fresh lemon wedges for serving.
