Description
A simple yet elegant dish featuring pan-seared salmon topped with a creamy lemon garlic sauce, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
- Place the salmon skin-side down in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy. Flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until cooked through. Remove salmon from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest, stirring to combine and simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Return the salmon to the skillet, spoon the sauce over the fillets, and cook for another minute.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
Notes
For extra crispy skin, do not move the salmon fillets too soon. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the salmon reaches 145°F.
