Ingredients

  • 8 tbsp (120 ml) vegetable oil, divided
  • 454 g peeled and deveined bay shrimp
  • 15 ml lemon juice, divided
  • 1 pinch garlic powder, or to taste
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Heat 90 ml of vegetable oil in a large pan on high heat.
  2. Add the bay shrimp and sauté in the hot oil until they become golden, approximately 2 minutes. Lower the heat to medium-low.
  3. Mix in 7.5 ml of lemon juice, a pinch of garlic powder, salt, and black pepper; cook for another minute until everything is warmed through.
  4. Take off the heat; add the remaining 30 ml of vegetable oil and 7.5 ml of lemon juice, stirring well.
