- 1 pint fresh oysters, drained with their juice reserved
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 stalk celery, finely chopped

- 1 ½ cups chicken or seafood broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients: Drain oysters and reserve their juice. Finely chop onion and celery. Mince garlic.
- Cook the Vegetables: In a medium pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions, celery, and garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent, stirring occasionally.
- Make the Broth: Pour in the reserved oyster juice and broth. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce if desired. Allow to simmer for about 5 minutes, letting the flavors meld.
- Finish the Stew: Add the heavy cream and oysters. Simmer on low heat for an additional 5-10 minutes until the oysters are cooked through. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
