Description

A simple yet flavorful oven-baked salmon recipe that highlights fresh ingredients and brings warmth to any meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs salmon fillet (whole or cut into 4 pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley or dill, chopped
  • Lemon slices (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Place the salmon skin-side down and pat it dry.
  3. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir until combined.
  4. Spoon or brush the mixture all over the salmon.
  5. Add a few lemon slices on top for extra flavor.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and stays moist in the center.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 2 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley or dill before serving.
  8. Serve warm with rice, roasted vegetables, pasta, or a simple salad.

Notes

Experiment with different herbs and spices to enhance the flavor. Let the salmon rest after baking to allow juices to redistribute.
