Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs salmon fillet (whole or cut into 4 pieces)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley or dill, chopped
- Lemon slices (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Place the salmon skin-side down and pat it dry.
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir until combined.
- Spoon or brush the mixture all over the salmon.
- Add a few lemon slices on top for extra flavor.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and stays moist in the center.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 2 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley or dill before serving.
- Serve warm with rice, roasted vegetables, pasta, or a simple salad.
Notes
Experiment with different herbs and spices to enhance the flavor. Let the salmon rest after baking to allow juices to redistribute.
