A delicious one-pot shrimp and crab Alfredo that combines fettuccine with succulent seafood in a creamy sauce.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces fettuccine or linguine
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup lump crab meat, drained and flaked
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken or seafood broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Base: Begin by heating 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Cook the Pasta: Add the fettuccine or linguine to the pot, then pour in 2 cups of chicken or seafood broth. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer and cook the pasta according to package instructions.
- Add Cream and Seafood: Once the pasta reaches al dente, stir in 1 cup of heavy cream, mixing well. Gently fold in the large shrimp and lump crab meat. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, until the shrimp turns pink.
- Finish with Cheese: Sprinkle 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese over the top. Stir gently until the cheese melts and incorporates into the creamy sauce. Adjust seasoning if needed.
Notes
Serve with a garnish of fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese. Pair with a side salad or crusty garlic bread.
