Description
A creamy seafood dish featuring shrimp and crab, perfect for a comforting family dinner.
Ingredients
- 8 oz fettuccine or linguine
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup crab meat, shredded
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add the fettuccine or linguine and cook according to package instructions, stirring occasionally.
- In the last few minutes of cooking, add the shrimp and crab meat.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Once the pasta is cooked and the shrimp are pink, remove from heat.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, swap some heavy cream for half-and-half. Reserve some pasta water if the sauce gets too thick.
