Ingredients
- 1 pound (454 g) (450 grams) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 ounce (227 g) s (225 grams) crab meat
- 12 ounce (340 g) s (340 grams) fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s (30 grams) unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 milliliters) olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup (240 ml) (240 milliliters) heavy cream
- 1 cup (240 ml) (240 milliliters) milk
- 1 cup (240 ml) (100 grams) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams) salt
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams) black pepper
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (2 grams) Italian seasoning
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) (15 grams) chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Heat a large pot over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon olive oil.
- Add the shrimp to the pot and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, add 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and melt over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 cup of milk, stirring to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, then add 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Add the fettuccine pasta to the pot, ensuring it’s submerged in the sauce.
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Once the pasta is al dente, stir in the cooked shrimp and 8 ounces of crab meat.
- Mix well to coat the seafood and pasta in the creamy sauce.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
