  • 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s (30 grams) unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 milliliters) olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup (240 ml) (240 milliliters) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (240 ml) (240 milliliters) milk
  • 1 cup (240 ml) (100 grams) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams) salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams) black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (2 grams) Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) (15 grams) chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat a large pot over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon olive oil.
  2. Add the shrimp to the pot and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, add 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and melt over medium heat.
  4. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 cup of milk, stirring to combine.
  6. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then add 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning.
  7. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
  8. Add the fettuccine pasta to the pot, ensuring it’s submerged in the sauce.
  9. Cook the pasta according to package instructions, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  10. Once the pasta is al dente, stir in the cooked shrimp and 8 ounces of crab meat.
  11. Mix well to coat the seafood and pasta in the creamy sauce.
  12. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure to use fresh shrimp and crab for optimal flavor.
  • Adjust salt and pepper to taste due to the saltiness from Parmesan cheese.
  • Cook the fettuccine al dente to prevent it from becoming mushy in the creamy sauce.
