Description
A vibrant, comforting dish featuring juicy shrimp and linguine in a garlic-lemon sauce, seasoned with Old Bay.
Ingredients
- 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
- 1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1½ tbsp Old Bay seasoning, divided
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
- Grated Parmesan (optional)
- ½ cup reserved pasta water
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente, reserving ½ cup of the pasta water before draining.
- In a bowl, toss the shrimp with 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning and salt, then drizzle with olive oil.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the shrimp for 1 to 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Lower heat to medium, add butter to the skillet, then add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, red pepper flakes, remaining Old Bay, and reserved pasta water to create a sauce.
- Toss the cooked pasta and shrimp into the skillet and mix until fully coated and warmed through.
- Top with freshly chopped parsley and grated Parmesan if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor. Consider adding seasonal vegetables for more nutrition.
