Description

A vibrant, comforting dish featuring juicy shrimp and linguine in a garlic-lemon sauce, seasoned with Old Bay.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1½ tbsp Old Bay seasoning, divided
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Grated Parmesan (optional)
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente, reserving ½ cup of the pasta water before draining.
  2. In a bowl, toss the shrimp with 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning and salt, then drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the shrimp for 1 to 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. Lower heat to medium, add butter to the skillet, then add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  5. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, red pepper flakes, remaining Old Bay, and reserved pasta water to create a sauce.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta and shrimp into the skillet and mix until fully coated and warmed through.
  7. Top with freshly chopped parsley and grated Parmesan if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor. Consider adding seasonal vegetables for more nutrition.
