Description

A bold and comforting seafood pasta dish with shrimp, garlic, and Old Bay seasoning, evoking coastal charm.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1½ tbsp Old Bay seasoning, divided
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Grated Parmesan (optional)
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Toss shrimp with 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning, salt, and olive oil.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium. Add butter and garlic to the skillet; cook until fragrant (1–2 minutes).
  5. Stir in lemon juice, zest, red pepper flakes, remaining ½ tablespoon of Old Bay, and reserved pasta water.
  6. Add pasta and shrimp to the skillet. Toss until coated and warmed through.
  7. Top with parsley, Parmesan, and extra lemon if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

Experiment with Old Bay seasoning and consider adding seasonal vegetables for extra flavor.
