- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s fresh lemon juice, from 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s water
- 3 scallions, dark green parts, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Combine the paprika, ancho chili powder, cumin, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Toss the shrimp in the spice mixture until they are evenly coated. Set the shrimp aside for now.
- In a 12-inch skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about a minute, ensuring it doesn’t turn brown. Introduce the shrimp to the pan and continue to cook over medium heat, stirring often, until they are nearly cooked through but still have some opaque spots, approximately 3 to 4 minutes.
- Pour in the Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and water, and cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes until the shrimp are thoroughly cooked. Sprinkle the sliced scallions on top before serving.
