Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound sliced sausage
- 4 medium potatoes, quartered
- 2 cups mixed vegetables (corn, carrots, bell peppers)
- 4 cups water
- 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
Instructions
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a large pot.
- Add Old Bay seasoning and salt to the boiling water.
- Add quartered potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes or until tender.
- Prepare the sausage and mixed vegetables.
- After the potatoes are tender, add sausage and mixed vegetables to the pot, cooking for another 5 minutes.
- Finally, add shrimp and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the shrimp is pink.
- Drain the pot and transfer the ingredients to a large serving platter.
- Serve with fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley as garnish.
Notes
For added heat, consider adding fresh jalapeños or a sprinkle of cayenne pepper. Freshness is key; always use the best ingredients available.
