Description

A delightful recipe for crispy baked shrimp that brings coastal flavors to your kitchen without the need for deep-frying.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Cooking oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  2. Set up your breading station: Place flour, beaten eggs, and panko mixture in three separate shallow bowls.
  3. Dredge each shrimp in flour, shaking off any excess.
  4. Dip the floured shrimp in the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
  5. Coat the shrimp with the panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  6. Lay the breaded shrimp in a single layer on the baking sheet for even cooking.
  7. Lightly spray the shrimp with cooking oil spray.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the shrimp are golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Serve immediately while hot for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

For added flavor, mix Parmesan cheese into the panko breadcrumbs. Experiment with spices or add seasonal vegetables for variation.
