Description

A classic summer lobster roll filled with fresh lobster meat, creamy mayonnaise, and crunchy celery, served in buttery toasted buns.

Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ lb whole lobster (or 4 lobster tails or 1 lb lobster meat)
  • 1 tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp diced chives
  • ½ tbsp minced parsley
  • 2 tbsp diced celery
  • Salt and fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 2 hot dog buns
  • 1 tbsp salted butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Begin by boiling water in a large pot, then add your lobster. Cook for about 10-12 minutes until the lobster turns bright red and floats to the top.
  2. Remove it from the pot and let it cool before handling.
  3. Once cooled, crack the shells and carefully remove the lobster meat. Ensure you avoid any shell pieces while doing so.
  4. Cut the meat into bite-sized chunks, and place it in a mixing bowl.
  5. In the mixing bowl, combine the lobster meat with fresh squeezed lemon juice, mayonnaise, diced chives, minced parsley, and diced celery.
  6. Add salt and fresh cracked black pepper to taste.
  7. Mix gently to combine, being careful to keep the lobster pieces intact.
  8. Brush the hot dog buns with melted butter and toast them on a skillet or grill until golden brown.
  9. Fill each bun with the lobster mixture, letting it overflow slightly.
  10. Serve immediately for the best seafood experience.

Notes

To achieve the best flavor, use high-quality and fresh lobster. Adjust the mayonnaise and seasoning according to your taste preferences.
