Ingredients

  • 1 pound (454 g) lobster tails (450 grams)
  • 1/2 pound (227 g) scallops (225 grams)
  • 4 tablespoon (60 ml) s unsalted butter (57 grams)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh parsley, chopped (15 grams)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil (15 milliliters)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) paprika (1 gram)


Instructions

  1. Thaw lobster tails and scallops if frozen, then pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Season lobster tails and scallops with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add lobster tails to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, turning halfway through.
  5. Remove lobster tails from the skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of butter and let it melt.
  7. Add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  8. Add scallops to the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  9. Return the lobster tails to the skillet.
  10. Add remaining butter, lemon juice, and parsley to the skillet.
  11. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, basting lobster and scallops with the butter sauce.
  12. Adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper to taste.
  13. Remove from heat and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use clarified butter for a richer flavor.
  • Add extra lemon juice for a burst of freshness.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley for color and herbaceous flavor.
