- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) (1.25 grams) red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (30 milliliters) fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) (60 milliliters) chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (28 grams) beef tallow
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) (15 grams) chopped fresh parsley
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
- Drain the spaghetti and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and season with red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
- Cook the shrimp until pink and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Stir in the lemon zest and lemon juice.
- Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add unsalted butter and stir until melted and combined.
