Description

A delightful seafood dish featuring cod fillets cooked with a rich lemon garlic butter sauce, resulting in crispy skin and exceptional flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 cod fillets (6 oz each)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter and olive oil until sizzling.
  3. Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté until fragrant and golden.
  4. Carefully place the seasoned cod fillets skin-side down in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, until the skin is golden brown and crispy.
  5. Gently flip the fillets, pour in the freshly squeezed lemon juice, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley and lemon zest. Serve immediately.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes when mixing in the lemon juice.
