A delightful seafood dish featuring cod fillets cooked with a rich lemon garlic butter sauce, resulting in crispy skin and exceptional flavor.
Ingredients
- 4 cod fillets (6 oz each)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 3 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter and olive oil until sizzling.
- Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté until fragrant and golden.
- Carefully place the seasoned cod fillets skin-side down in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, until the skin is golden brown and crispy.
- Gently flip the fillets, pour in the freshly squeezed lemon juice, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley and lemon zest. Serve immediately.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes when mixing in the lemon juice.
