Description

A delightful and easy recipe for Lemon Garlic Butter Cod that features crispy skin and a burst of flavor from lemon and garlic.

Ingredients

  • 4 cod fillets (6 oz each)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and olive oil together. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Place the seasoned cod fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is golden brown and crispy.
  4. Gently flip the fillets, pour in lemon juice, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the fish flakes easily.
  5. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley and lemon zest, then serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure the cod fillets are well-dried before cooking to achieve crispy skin. Monitor heat closely during the cooking process.
