Description

A delicious and easy recipe for lemon garlic butter cod that offers a crispy skin and flaky texture, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 cod fillets (6 oz each)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Pat the cod fillets dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and olive oil.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Place the cod fillets skin-side down in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is golden brown.
  5. Gently flip the fillets and add lemon juice, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until the fish flakes easily.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with parsley and lemon zest before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh ingredients and allow the fish to crisp without flipping too soon.
