Description

A delightful seafood dish featuring perfectly seared scallops in a lemon butter sauce served with crispy garlic crostini.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb U-10 scallops
  • lemons, juiced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • ½ tsp chili flakes
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Garlic rubbed crostini, to serve

Instructions

  1. Pat the scallops dry with paper towels and season with salt and black pepper.
  2. Melt ½ tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook half the scallops for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown. Set aside.
  3. Wipe the pan clean and melt the remaining butter. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant, then add lemon juice and chili flakes.
  4. Add the scallops back to the pan, coating them in the sauce.
  5. Serve immediately with garlic-rubbed crostini.

Notes

Rest scallops briefly after cooking to enhance flavor and texture. For variations, consider adding herbs like thyme or dill.
