Description

A delightful and simple lemon butter fish fillet, perfect for weeknight dinners or family gatherings, combining fresh fish with a rich lemon butter sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 fillets of fresh white fish (cod, tilapia, or haddock)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil (for drizzling on the fish)
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 tablespoons of butter (for making the sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil (for the sauce)
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Zest and juice of 2 lemons
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fish: Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Drizzle with olive oil and season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Cook the fish: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the seasoned fish fillets. Cook for about 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown and flaky. Remove the fish from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
  3. Make the lemon butter sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter and olive oil. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add lemon: Stir in lemon juice and zest, and season with salt and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Combine and serve: Drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the cooked fish fillets and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately and enjoy your lemon butter fish fillet!

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider adding capers to the sauce or a splash of cream for a creamier texture.
