Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh white fish fillets (such as cod, tilapia, or haddock)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 unit lemon zest, for garnish
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Coat the fish fillets with the seasoned flour mixture by combining flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika in a shallow dish.
- In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat until fragrant.
- Add the coated fish fillets to the skillet and cook for approximately 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and flaky.
- Drizzle with fresh lemon juice while cooking to add a tangy brightness.
- For the garlic aioli, mix mayonnaise, minced garlic, and additional lemon juice in a small bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the fish bites garnished with lemon zest and fresh parsley, alongside the garlic aioli for dipping.
Notes
For extra crunch, double-dip the fish fillets in the flour mixture. Pair with fresh salad greens or roasted vegetables.
