Description
Crispy lemon butter fish bites paired with a creamy garlic aioli, perfect for casual or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, or haddock)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- Lemon zest for garnish
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (to taste)
- Additional salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Combine all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika in a small bowl until well mixed.
- Dredge each fish fillet in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating on both sides.
- Heat unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat until melted and bubbling.
- Place the coated fish fillets gently into the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, turning once, until golden brown and the fish is cooked through.
- Prepare the garlic aioli while the fish cooks. In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, minced garlic, fresh lemon juice, and add salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove the fish from the skillet and drain on paper towels to absorb excess butter.
- Serve the fish bites warm, garnished with fresh lemon zest and parsley, alongside the garlic aioli for dipping.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor, and ensure fillets are of uniform thickness for even cooking.
