Description

A light and refreshing cucumber sushi roll that highlights simple ingredients and delightful textures.

Ingredients

  • 1 full-size sheet of nori
  • 0.5 cup seasoned sushi rice
  • 2 cucumber strips

Instructions

  1. Prepare your cucumber strips following the guide provided to ensure they are uniform in size.
  2. If desired, trim your sheet of nori smaller for ease of handling, using my helpful guide for the best method.
  3. Cover the sheet of nori in a thin, even layer of rice, ensuring you fill all the way out to the edges.
  4. Arrange the cucumber in a line about one inch from the bottom of the sheet.
  5. Lightly wet the exposed strip of nori along the top of the sheet to help the roll stick together.
  6. Carefully and tightly roll up the sushi from the bottom to the top.
  7. Place the roll on a cutting board and grab your sharpest knife.
  8. Cut the roll into six equal pieces using a gentle sawing motion.
  9. Plate the roll on your serving dish and serve immediately for the freshest experience.

Notes

Keeping a bowl of water nearby can help manage sticky rice.
