Description

A delightful dish featuring seared halibut fillets topped with succulent crab meat, served with asparagus and hollandaise sauce, reminiscent of coastal family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 halibut fillets
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces crab meat
  • 1 cup asparagus, trimmed
  • 1/2 cup hollandaise sauce
  • Lemon wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season halibut fillets with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the halibut fillets for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. While the halibut is cooking, steam the asparagus until tender.
  6. Place the seared halibut on a serving plate.
  7. Top each halibut fillet with a generous portion of crab meat.
  8. Drizzle hollandaise sauce over the top.
  9. Arrange steamed asparagus alongside.
  10. Garnish with lemon wedges and serve immediately.

Notes

For added zest, incorporate minced garlic or herbs like thyme or parsley during cooking. Use a steamer basket for perfectly cooked asparagus.
