Description

A flavorful and comforting Cajun dish featuring chicken, sausage, and shrimp cooked with rice and spices.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken, diced
  • 1 pound sausage, sliced
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cups rice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • Chopped green onions for garnish


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chicken and sausage. Cook until browned.
  2. Add shrimp and cook until pink.
  3. Add bell pepper, onion, celery, and garlic. Sauté until tender.
  4. Stir in tomatoes, chicken broth, Cajun seasoning, rice, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until rice is cooked.
  6. Fluff the jambalaya with a fork and garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for enhanced flavor. Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste.
