Description

A delightful combination of succulent shrimp with rich garlic notes and the sweetness of honey, served with rice and colorful vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (like bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots)
  • Green onions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade by whisking together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a bowl.
  2. Add the shrimp to the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated, and let them marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  4. Cook the marinated shrimp in a single layer for about 3-4 minutes, flipping halfway through until they turn pink and opaque.
  5. Steam or sauté the mixed vegetables in a separate pot until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Assemble the bowls by placing a serving of rice in each bowl, topping it with shrimp and vegetables. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of lime juice after cooking or using different vegetables.
