Description

A rich and creamy lobster mac and cheese, combining succulent lobster and a blend of flavorful cheeses for the ultimate comfort food.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb elbow macaroni
  • 1 lb cooked lobster meat (chopped)
  • 4 cups milk
  • 8 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups grated Gruyère cheese
  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook the elbow macaroni until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Melt 8 tbsp of butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, add ½ cup of all-purpose flour and whisk well until combined.
  4. Gradually pour in 4 cups of milk while stirring continuously. Cook until the mixture becomes smooth and thick.
  5. Add both cheeses (2 cups of grated Gruyère and 2 cups of grated cheddar) to the saucepan. Stir until the cheese melts completely and blends into the creamy mixture.
  6. Fold in 1 lb of chopped lobster meat and the cooked elbow macaroni. Mix until everything is well combined.
  7. Pour the mixture into a baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  8. Sprinkle 1 cup of breadcrumbs on top for a crunchy finish.
  9. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the top turns golden brown and the edges bubble.

Notes

For added flavor, infuse the milk with garlic or herbs before adding cheese. Adjust cheese ratios based on preference.
