Ingredients
- 1 cup sushi rice (raw)
- 1 cup water
- 3 tbsp sushi rice vinegar
- Sushi toppings of your choice (like cucumbers, avocado, or fish)
- 1 nori seaweed sheet
- Soy sauce (for dipping)
Instructions
- Wash the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Combine the rinsed rice with 1 cup of water in a rice cooker.
- Cook according to your rice cooker’s instructions, then let sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Mix in the sushi rice vinegar gently without crushing the grains.
- Cool the rice to room temperature.
- Line an ice cube tray with plastic wrap.
- Add your chosen sushi topping at the bottom of each compartment.
- Press sushi rice on top of the topping firmly.
- Cut the nori sheet into small squares and place on top of the rice.
- Flip the ice cube tray upside down over a plate to release the sushi.
- Dip the sushi in soy sauce before serving.
