Ingredients

  • 4 (4-6 oz.) cod or salmon portions
  • 2 tsp. olive oil or vegetable oil
  • Salt, pepper, and/or other seasonings or sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  2. Remove frozen fish from all packaging and rinse under cold running water to remove any ice crystals.
  3. Arrange the fish in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  4. Brush the fish lightly with oil on all sides.
  5. Bake for 4-5 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and add your desired seasonings or sauce.
  7. Continue to bake until hot and flaky in the center, about 8-12 more minutes.
  8. Check that the fish is done when flaky in the middle and reaches 145°F in the center with an instant-read thermometer.

Notes

Consider using garlic powder, paprika, or a splash of lemon juice to enhance flavor.
